Worship Ministries
“Sing to Him a new song; play skillfully with a shout of joy,” Psalm
33:3.
The Worship Ministries are some of the most visible and multifaceted
ministries of New Covenant Worship Center. The various worship
ministries are responsible for leading praise and worship for all
services of New Covenant Worship Center. Though they act
independently of one another, the three arms of the worship
ministries work together for special events like the Resurrection
and Christmas cantatas.
The Worship Ministries minister not only inside New Covenant Worship
Center, but take their unique praise and worship style outside to
others. In July of 2006 the New Covenant Worship Center Choir
traveled to inner city Columbus, Ohio with Bishop James Marquis and
ministered at Wings of An Eagle Faith Ministries. In August of 2006
both the New Covenant Worship Center Choir and Covenant collaborated
to provide the powerfully anointed finale at the inaugural Wellston
– City of Praise Concert.
Music Department
The Music Department
of NCWC is committed to providing an atmosphere where people can
worship and be one with the Lord Jesus Christ. The Music Department
is committed to excellence in all performances and worship services
as well with their personal walk with God. There are many styles of
music incorporated into the worship of NCWC as well as various voice
types.
The Music Department
participates in several scheduled public concerts each year such as
the Christmas and Resurrection Cantatas and the Wellston – City of
Praise concert.
The NCWC Music
Department holds auditions twice each year in order to acquire new
members.
Dance Team
Under the direction of Jessica Powell, the dancers of the New
Covenant Worship Center Dance Team provide independent and intimate
dance style worship separate of the choreographed dance of the
choirs at New Covenant Worship Center. The New Covenant Worship
Center Dance Team, like the Music Department, operates two different
teams for the main and youth services of New Covenant Worship
Center.
Covenant – Drama Team
Covenant is also under the direction of Lisa Causey and offers
powerfully orchestrated drama and dance set to music. Displaying
great charisma and versatility, Covenant pours everything within
them into displaying the powerful anointing resting in them.
Whether it be ballads like “Now Behold the Lamb” or the upbeat
tempos of “Shake Yourself Loose” the members of Covenant always
draws the audience in with their passion and precision. |
