Bishop James and First-Lady Joy Marquis, pastors of New Covenant Worship Center of Wellston, are pleased to welcome again, the International Director and founder of Cocina del Amor (Love Kitchen) Ministries of Guatemala City, Guatemala, Pastor Jose Alvarez. Pastor Alvarez will be ministering at New Covenant Worship Center May 1^st-3^rd.

 “We are very excited to be hosting Pastor Jose Alvarez again. Pastor Jose has a remarkable testimony that will touch all who hear it,” said Bishop Marquis.

 Prior to founding Cocina del Amor Ministries, Pastor Alvarez was a chief training official of a five star hotel, the Westin Camino Real of Guatemala City. Pastor Alvarez and his family left a life of affluence with the Westin Camino Real to feed the hungry and preach the gospel in the streets of Guatemala City. Pastor Alvarez founded Cocina del Amor Ministries in the 1990s and began by feeding the poor of Guatemala City out of a garage he borrowed from his father. Since its founding, Cocina del Amor Ministries has expanded to serving four regions in Guatemala and now has ongoing efforts in Honduras, Nicaragua, Cuba, Peru, and Brazil.

 All services will feature praise and worship led by the New Covenant Worship Center choir. May 1^st and 2^nd service times will be 7:00 PM nightly. May 3^rd service time will be 8:30 AM with Pastor Alvarez ministering at 10:30 AM following Sunday School. New Covenant Worship Center is located one mile north of Wellston on State Route 327.
