S.W.A.T. Mission Statement

 

“To learn to live, act, and operate in the Holy Spirit with humility as young men just as our Lord Jesus Christ did before His Father, Amen.”

 

The purpose of S.W.A.T. is to teach young men to live as young “mighty men” in Christ. S.W.A.T. members will learn spiritual truths and principals through group activities and fellowship with one another.  S.W.A.T. members will become examples of how young men live prosperous lives in the service of our Lord Jesus Christ, not only to those within the House of God, but to those outside the Household of Faith. 

S.W.A.T. is broken up into age specific programs so that young men may fully capitalize on projects and issues relevant to where they are as developing young men of God.

 

 

S.W.A.T. Disciples Program

 

 The S.W.A.T. Disciples Program is where the bulk of the education of S.W.A.T. occurs.  By the time a young man is advanced to the S.W.A.T. Disciples Program he and his parents will have made a commitment to submitting themselves to the stricter requirements of S.W.A.T.

At this point in the development of a member of S.W.A.T. matters of etiquette and spiritual behavior will be introduced and enforced by the leadership of S.W.A.T. and will have to be reinforced and expected in the home life of the S.W.A.T. Disciple not just in the church.

With promotion into the S.W.A.T. Disciples Program also comes greater privileges and opportunities to enjoy more of the recreational aspects of S.W.A.T. that may have not been extended to them prior to acceptance to the S.W.A.T. Disciples Program.

Disciples will be given specific projects that allow them to acquire commendations to advance to the Master Disciples Program.

 

 

S.W.A.T. Master Disciples Program

 

 

When a young man is accepted into the S.W.A.T. Master Disciples Program he will have already proven himself dedicated wholly to the service of the Lord Jesus Christ, to succeeding in S.W.A.T. not only for himself, but for the good of his brothers in S.W.A.T. and all of New Covenant Worship Center.

Master Disciples will serve as the immediate examples of success in S.W.A.T.  The S.W.A.T. Master Disciples Program holds the greatest accountability and privilege for a member of S.W.A.T.

 

Each Master Disciple will have the responsibility in turn to present a Biblical devotion at each regular S.W.A.T. meeting to get them comfortable in ministry and to display themselves to younger S.W.A.T. members as examples of “mighty men” in the Word of God. 

 

The Master Disciple has the responsibility of living as a perfect godly gentleman without reproach before all those he comes in contact with.  The Master Disciples have the responsibility of observing and enforcing S.W.A.T. rules and expectations among the rank and file of S.W.A.T. making them their brother’s keeper.

 

The S.W.A.T. Master Disciples Program will apply all the knowledge and experience gained throughout the previous S.W.A.T. programs and prepare them for manhood not only in the House of God but to the world that exist beyond its walls.  Master Disciples will be given special opportunities to meet with Christian business leaders, Christian educators, ministry contacts, or whatever it takes to help fulfill the call of God in their lives, that by this point the Master Disciples will probably already be discerning and feeling.
